Just now we received an email from Apple titled iPad 2 arrives on 29 April. So all speculation with respect to iPad2 arrival in India can now be put to rest. This came as a pleasant surprise to us given that Apple has a history of launching its product quite late in India – only when they are about to release a new version in the US.
Apple has also issued a press release declaring that –
iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available in Japan on April 28 and Hong Kong, India, Israel, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and UAE on April 29 for a suggested retail price of $499 (US) for the 16GB model, $599 (US) for the 32GB model and $699 (US) for the 64GB model. iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G will be available for a suggested retail price of $629 (US) for the 16GB model, $729 (US) for the 32GB model and $829 (US) for the 64GB model. iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available in China on May 6, and further international availability will be announced at a later date.

For me personally the announcement came at the right time. I was about to ask a friend to get a WiFi only version from the US. Now I’ll be purchasing the 16GB Wifi-3G enabled version in India, since the carrier locking issue will no more exist with Indian versions.

that is so awesome… will trying buying this… its way better than IPAD 1…. but i also heard IPhone 5 is also coming up…. please provide news about that!
